Accommodations and Amenities

There are three room options to choose from at Briar Patch: The Cottage, the Main House rooms, and the newly built Chicken Coop. The Cottage is a popular choice for families and bridal parties; the small house provides the comforts of home and the most privacy of all the accommodations at the inn. The Main House rooms are located in the historic farmhouse and feature four-poster beds, fireplaces, charming decor, and happy pastel color palettes. The Chicken Coop has three bedrooms to choose from, each with private en suite baths and private entrances to the outdoors. Each room comes with a hot breakfast, use of the snack bar, coffee, tea, soda, and water, plush bathrobes, and beach towels for use at the pool or hot tub.

About the Innkeepers:

In 2001, following a two-decade career in the finance industry, innkeeper Ellen Goldberg purchased the historic northern Virginia farm that would become the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast Inn. The property required extensive TLC and the 1800's farmhouse soon became a labor of love. After a year of renovations, the inn opened and began to attract travelers as well as wedding parties that appreciated the unique scenery and character of the estate. A few years later, the Fox Den—a 200-person reception hall—was underway as interest in indoor weddings and events grew. Briar Patch continues to expand to include new guest rooms and features for the guests of bed and breakfast and attendees of events. Ellen enjoys welcoming guests to her home and hopes they get as much enjoyment out of the property as she does.
