Allen Brothers Lodge is a country getaway located in Bladen County, North Carolina. The lodge sits on 200 acres of woodlands, fields, lakes, and farmland; this lush landscape is part of Allen Brothers Preserve, which offers guests excellent bird hunting onsite. The lodge is the perfect place for a weekend getaway or family trip, with many different types of rooms to fit any occasion. Allen Brothers Lodge is a bed and breakfast tucked away in North Carolina's scenic southern coastal plains region and a great place to get away from it all and enjoy country hospitality.
Coastal Plains Beauty
Allen Brothers Lodge is immersed in the rugged and beautiful natural landscape of southeast North Carolina. When you stay at the lodge, you'll enjoy all that the preserve has to offer; walk along six miles of walking trails, relax by the outdoor fire pit, try your hand at hatchet throwing, and enjoy the country setting that can only be found at a working farm and preserve. Guests can also take part in some of the best hunting in North Carolina, including duck, dove, pheasant, and quail.
Lodge Style Bed and Breakfast
The Lodge features 12 rooms, with different configurations to suit every group's requirements. There are seven semi-private rooms that have a bathroom and TV. For large groups, there is a three-bunk bedroom that sleeps six, and another bunk room that can sleep four. The king suites are perfect for couples and feature a private bath and TV. The rooms are decorated in a classic lodge style, with lots of natural wood throughout, and a neutral color palette. The rooms come with central heat and air conditioning, WiFi, Cable TV, and are handicap accessible. Guests with pets are welcome and can use the on-site kennel.
Guests have access to the clubhouse where you'll find an entertainment lounge, pool table, and game table. It's a place where friends and family can hang out and spend time together while having a drink or some snacks. The clubhouse is also where meals are served beginning with a hearty breakfast of eggs and bacon served with juice and coffee. October through February, three meals a day are available, with country favorites like fried chicken, steaks, and fresh seafood on the menu.
Things to do in Bladen County, North Carolina
When you visit Bladenboro and Allen Brothers Lodge you'll be close to excellent nature spots and other points of interest. White Lake is just a half-hour away and provides excellent boating and fishing on crystal clear waters. The lodge is close to two unique state parks: Jones Lake State Park and Lumber River State Park which are great for hiking, canoeing, picnicking, and wildlife viewing. There are several wineries to visit, as well as many places to grab a bite to eat in the nearby towns. Bladenboro is tucked away from it all, while still being close to many unique places and is sure to make any visit memorable.
Allen Brothers is owned and operated by brothers RJ and Joe Allen. Allen Brothers Lodge was founded in the early 2000s after the preserve had been in operation for a few years, finding that many wanted to stay overnight with them. Joe is the bed and breakfast's chef, creating country meals hearty enough for guests who have been in the field hunting all day. They welcome you to their home and hope that you'll become one of the many who return year after year!
