Modern Bed and Breakfast in the Heart of Chicago’s West Loop
The Publishing House is located inside a 110-year-old brick building that has been a publishing house, factory, and holography museum over the decades. This old building received a new life when Kimberly and Shawn bought it, completely remodeled, and reimagined into a modern, urban bed and breakfast, right in the heart of Chicago's West Loop neighborhood.
The Publishing House has a contemporary, hip vibe filled with mid-century modern furnishings and stunning pieces of bright artwork. The lofty ceilings throughout the space give the entire place an open feeling that is incredibly inviting.
Space to Lounge
Sometimes, all you want to do is slow down and relax. That is easy to achieve when you stay at The Publishing House, as there are numerous public spaces throughout the building.
You will find a big living room area on the third floor, filled with comfortable couches, barstools, and chairs, centered around a fireplace and piano. There are freshly baked treats, soda, sparkling water, and coffee available throughout the day. The oversized living room offers a unique retreat that is hard to find in a Chicago bed and breakfast in a bustling city.
There is also a media room full of games and entertainment options to entertain kids and adults. If you need a break from city life, there is always something to do in the media room at this Chicago urban bed and breakfast.
Salon and Wine Bar on Site
If you do not want to venture that far out for an enjoyable time, head to The Press Room, a wine bar located in the basement of the Publishing House. The Press Room serves friendly wines, classic cocktails, and familiar yet sophisticated food. You can grab a drink at happy hour or enjoy some delicious dishes at dinner.
If you are getting ready for a special event, be sure to check out the Solo Salon, located on the first floor of The Publishing House. It is the perfect place to get a relaxing spa treatment, get ready for your wedding or special event, or freshen up.
